(© Joan Marcus) | Broadway In Chicago has announced the return of Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus' Mamma Mia! to Chicago for a limited engagement at the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University, September 17-28.
The musical, based on the songs of ABBA, follows the story of a forty-something mother planning her daughter's wedding. Incorporating 22 of the band's songs, the show portrays the contrast of values between mother and daughter.
The cast of the North American Tour will feature Mark Campbell, Anthony Cefala, Kittra Wynn Coomer, Rebecca Covington, Michelle Elizabeth Dawson, Geoffrey Hemingway, John Hemphill, Adam Michael Kaokept, Martin Kildare, Nicole Laurenzi, Michael Aaron Lindner, Susie McMonagle, and Rose Sezniak. The ensemble will include Corey Bradley, Annie Edgerton, Natalie Gallo, Nathan Alan Johnson, Whitney Claire Kaufman, Ian Knauer, Lindsay Levine, Stephanie Lynge, Mario Matthews, Damien Deshaun Smith, Carla Stickler, Rachel Tyler, and Bradley Whitfield.
