Laura Benanti Receives Sardi's Portrait

Tony award nominee Laura Benanti was honored yesterday, June 3, with a portrait which will hang in Sardi's Restaurant. She was joined at the unveiling by Gypsy castmates -- including Patti LuPone and Boyd Gaines -- as well as her husband, actor Steven Pasquale.

Benanti was recently nominated for a Tony Award for her performance as Louise in Gypsy, for which she has already won the Outer Critics Award and Drama Desk Award. She previously received Tony nominations for Swing! and Into the Woods, and additional Main Stem credits include The Sound of Music, Nine, and The Wedding Singer.
