On Sunday night, the LAByrinth Theatre Company hosted a special benefit reading of the hit play Jesus Hopped the 'A' Train, directed by the company's co-artistic director, Oscar winner Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Among the stars who attended this special event was two-time Tony Award winner Bernadette Peters, author of the recently-released children's book Broadway Barks.

Tony nominee Bobby Cannavale and gal pal Alison Pill, currently starring in the Broadway-bound production of Neil LaBute's reasons to be pretty, were also in the audience.

Theatre for a New Audience's Jeffrey Horowitz and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright John Patrick Shanley also came out for the reading.

On Monday night, the Public Theater hosted the book party for Broadway Tails: Hearfelt Stories of Rescued Dogs Who Became Stars. Author Bill Berloni (right) -- who will sign copies at the Drama Book Shop on July 17 -- was joined by such friends as New York City Ballet star Tom Gold and Pi.
