The award-winning Off-Broadway musical Adding Machine, currently playing the Minetta Lane Theatre, will end its run on July 20. At the time of its closing, the production will have played 16 previews and 149 regular performances.

The musical features a score by Joshua Schmidt and a libretto by Jason Loewith and Schmidt, based on Elmer Rice's 1923 expressionist play. The show tells the story of Mr. Zero, a nameless cog in American business, as he journeys through life, death, and an afterlife romance in the Elysian Fields.

David Cromer directs a cast starring Cyrilla Baer as 'Mrs. Zero,' Joel Hatch as 'Mr. Zero,' and Amy Warren as 'Daisy.' The featured cast includes Joe Farrell as 'Shrdlu,' Jeff Still as 'Charles,' Adinah Alexander as 'Mrs. Two,' Niffer Clarke as 'Mrs. One,' Roger E. DeWitt as 'Mr. Two' and Daniel Marcus as 'Mr. One.'

The musical received two Outer Critics Circle Awards (Outstanding New Off Broadway Musical, Outstanding New Score), four Lucille Lortel Awards (Outstanding Musical, Outstanding Director, Outstanding Lead Actor, Outstanding Lighting Design), and four Obie Awards.

A CD of the musical is currently available through PS Classics. On Thursday, July 17, the full cast and band will perform a special 30-minute suite in celebration of the recording, at Barnes & Noble (Lincoln Square Triangle, Broadway & 66th Street), 5:30 p.m., followed by a CD signing.
