 | Tom Wopat and ensemble in Chicago

Obba Babatundé, Kevin Chamberlin, and Tom Wopat will return to the Broadway musical Chicago, currently playing the Ambassador Theater.
Babatundé will play lawyer Billy Flynn July 15-27, with Tom Wopat taking over the role beginning July 29. The part is currently being played by Jeff McCarthy through July 13. Also on July 15, Kevin Chamberlin will return to the role of Amos Hart, succeeding Raymond Bokhour, who will play his final performance July 13.
Chicago features a score by John Kander and the late Fred Ebb, including such hits as "All That Jazz," "Mister Cellophane," "Razzle Dazzle," and "Nowadays." The production is directed by Walter Bobbie with choreography by Ann Reinking. The musical won six 1997 Tony Awards, including Best Revival of a Musical.
The long-running musical also currently features Michelle DeJean as Roxie Hart, Nancy Lemenager as Velma Kelly, and Carol Woods as Matron "Mama" Morton.
Babatundé received a Tony nomination for his work in Dreamgirls, originated the title role in Jelly's Last Jam, and appeared in Hal Prince's Grind. Chamberlin most recently appeared on Broadway in The Ritz, and was Tony-nominated for his performances in Seussical and Dirty Blonde. Wopat is currently starring in A Catered Affair, for which he received a Tony nomination, and was also Tony nominated for his performance in Annie Get Your Gun. He is perhaps best known as Luke Duke in the long-running TV series The Dukes of Hazzard.
