Christy Carlson Romano to Join Avenue Q on September 29

Christy Carslon Romano will take over the roles of Kate Monster and Lucy T. Slut in the long-running Broadway musical Avenue Q, September 29-November 23.

Romano's previous Broadway credits include Beauty and the Beast, Parade, The Sound of Music, and The Will Rogers Follies. She is well known for her work on the Disney Channel, including the series Kim Possible, for which she received an Emmy Award nomination, Cadet Kelly, and Even Stevens.

Avenue Q, written by Jeff Marx, Robert Lopez, and Jeff Whitty, won the Tony Award for Best Musical. It is directed by Jason Moore, and its current cast includes Christian Anderson, Jennifer Barnhart, Nicholas Kohn, Carla Renata, Ann Sanders, and Howie Michael Smith.
