Synopsis

The Merchant of Venice is being presented in the Carter Barron Amphitheater as part of The Shakespeare Theatre Free for All. Journey to seventeenth century Venice, where Shylock?s thirst for vengeance and Bassanio?s love for Portia come alive in director Michael Kahn?s impassioned production of Shakespeare?s provocative comedy.

This production is free, but tickets are required. They may be obtained from The Washington Post, The Shakespeare Theatre or The Carter Barron Amphitheater Box Office. Lines tend to form early, so be prepared. Please call the box office for more information.
