James Baldwin has always had a profound effect on Alexis and Jimmy. Growing up in Harlem, they decide to become artists so they may meet Baldwin in Paris. Their problem is how to follow their dreams without being drawn into The Gimmick of the ghetto. This powerful solo piece is written and performed by Obie-Award winner Dael Orlandersmith.
