Synopsis

A Holiday Performance by Lavender Light: The Black and People of All Colors Lesbian and Gay Gospel Choir.

From acapella performances and Negro spirituals, to the sounds of traditional gospel and holiday classics, you will be uplifted and find strength as the choir spreads a message of love and healing for the holiday season.

This year the choir welcomes Grammy Award-winning vocalist BJ Crosby, joining them onstage as guest artist for the evening. A Broadway veteran, Ms. Crosby has received Tony and Olivier Award nominations for her performance in Smokey Joe's Café, and appeared on stage in productions of Chicago, Harlem Song, Dreamgirls, and One Mo' Time.

Founded in 1985, Lavender Light continues to keep alive the tradition of Black gospel music in an environment supportive to the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.
