Synopsis


The second concert in this year's Broadway by the Year series, The Broadway Musicals of 1935 will offer highlights from all eight original musicals that opened on Broadway that year including Porgy & Bess (George & Ira Gershwin), Jubilee (Cole Porter), Jumbo (Rodgers & Hart), May Wine (Sigmund Romberg), and much more!

The cast includes theater stars Gretha Boston, Chuck Cooper, Darius de Haas, Douglas Sills, Emily Skinner, Barbara Walsh, and Laurie Williamson in addition to cabaret performers Todd Murray and Lumiri Tubo. Songs include "Little Girl Blue," "Summertime," and "Begin the Beguine."
