Synopsis

Gavin Creel will star in this season's Broadway revival of the musical La Cage Aux Folles. He most recently finished his run as Hollis Bessemer in the world premiere production of Stephen Sondheim's bounce. Creel received a 2002 Tony Award nomination for his portrayal of Jimmy Smith in the musical Thoroughly Modern Millie. He has appeared in the off-Broadway cult favorite Bat Boy, the City Center Encores! production of Hair, and Second Stage's The Mystery Plays as Joe Manning, which also was performed with Yale Repertory Theatre. A BFA graduate of the University of Michigan, Creel also starred in the American premiere of Honk!, toured the nation in Fame as Nick, and participated in various New York workshops including Spring Awakening, Hairspray and Wicked. His television credits include Eloise at the Plaza and Eloise at Christmastime, both starring Julie Andrews. Creel is a proud member of the Broadway Inspirational Voices. He is currently writing songs for his forthcoming album.
