Living Out
Living Out Tickets and Information
Synopsis
Nancy Robin is a highly successful entertainment attorney who has just started a family in the suburbs of Los Angeles. When she decides to return to work, childcare becomes a crucial concern. The answer: Ana Hernandez, an illegal immigrant who, like Nancy, is trying to balance her financial needs with the needs of her children. This heartbreaking and darkly comic play sheds humorous but harsh light on the modern demands of motherhood, and on a nation far too busy to raise its children. Fresh from an off-Broadway run, Living Out takes an insightful look at race, class and parenthood as seen through two startlingly similar women and their friends and family who, like everyone, just want the best for their kids. And themselves.
