The production consist of two one man shows: Just Happpy to Be Here? and Skinpoppin.
A humorous, dramatic and insightful view of Americans, post 9-11. Just Happy To Be Here? tells of a government-sponsored attempt to study, through a series of individual interviews, the collective psyche of this nation's citizens. It is the final session and this time several Black men from varying walks of life are having their say.
The characters are brought together by a focus group but what drives the production are the stories that come from the participants that tackle and/or bring to light a wide array of subjects that are relevant throughout America and transcend even the communal shock of a national tragedy. Written and performed by Damien D. Smith, and directed by Jason Summers.
Skinpoppin is the absorbing and provocative journey of one heroin addict's past, present and future. Written and performed by Basil Scrivens, directed by Ozzie Jones.
