Synopsis

Feinstein's at The Regency introduces its new Monday night series "Michael Feinstein Presents" with the debut of a new show B.J. Ward Sings Marshall Barer. The show features special guests Michael Feinstein on October 24 and Adam Guettel on October 31. The engagement coincides with the October 18 release of the CD B.J. Ward Sings Marshall Barer from Mr. Feinstein's recording label, Feinery, a division of Concord Records.

B.J. Ward has enjoyed a dual career as an actress/singer and as a voice-over artist for animated cartoons and video games. The lyricist Marshall Barer (1923-1998), described by Ward as "brilliant, bipolar, bisexual, and bi-coastal," also had talents in two rather different areas - writing beautiful and sincere love songs (the Shakespeare inspired "Such Sweet Sorrow") as well as coming up with outlandishly anarchic comedy songs ("There's a Ju on Every Jury").

Jackets are suggested but not required.
