the last word was PAPIREPOSE is a full evening performance directed and choreographed by BAX/Brooklyn Ars Exchange Artist in Residence Nami Yamamoto. As part of Yamamoto's residency at BAX from 2003-05, she created experimental three minute pieces to challege her choreographic tendencies.
In the last word was PAPIREPOSE, small details, subtle emotional shifts and sudden movement deviations with absence of transitions create understated landscapes. The performers enter and exit, breaking boundaries and leaving their effortless spirit behind. They explore existence in a fragile dividing line.
