Splittin' the Raft is a highly-stylized retelling of the story of Huck Finn and slave Jim. This rendition of Mark Twain's classic is interpreted by the great abolitionist Frederick Douglass, one of America's greatest voices for freedom, in hopes of setting the record straight. Four actors play multiple roles, as Mark Twain's humor, Frederick Douglass' brilliant language, African-American spirituals, and challenging ideas about race relations in America are highlighted.
