The Paperback Musicalis a new musical play inspired by the titles, cover art, tag lines, and jacket descrptions of the late 1940's and early 1950's pulp fiction paperbacks. Five writers take a fresh look at the pulp fiction genres: sleaze, horror, marijuana, lesbian romance, and science fiction.
The Paperback Musical has music written by Nick Moore, with book and lyrics by Jack Dyville, Dyan Flores, Travis Kramer, Bethany Larsen, Selda Sahin, and Susannah Pearse. Directed by Habib Azar, Melisa Fendell, Jake Hirzel, Russell Kaplan, and Lauren Reinhard with musical direction by Marcus Baker. Performances by Kerry Flanagan, Thomas Lash, Mathew Naclerio, Ruben Ramos, Sarah Hubbard, Kate Tellers, Kenneth Scott Thompson, and Cotton Wright.
