Cheeky Woman / Trouble Makin' Lady, is presented as a a part of The BAX/Brooklyn Arts Exchange 2006 Women's Performance Festival. It is a global journey, fusing the passion of the Brooklyn Women's Chorus with the artistry of the Brooklyn Community Storytellers in a celebration of sisterhood, strength, and determination. The Chorus and the Storytellers will combine forces, using narration, poetry, and song to honor the courage and struggles of heroines such as Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks, Emma Goldman and Deborah Moody, as well as of those are unnamed and often overlooked -- like the survivors of violence who have formed a "women's village" in Kenya.
