Synopsis

The Gallery Players presents Adam Guettel and Tina Landau's award-winning musical Floyd Collins. Recounting one of the most electrifying news stories of the 1920s, this groundbreaking musical drama tell the riveting story of Floyd Collins, a Kentucky caver whose dreams of subterranean riches led to his entrapment some 200 feet below the hardscrabble surface. Its soaring, bluegrass-tinged score is a haunting tapestry of folk, jazz, and country motifs woven around a vein of solid gold: the indominability of the human spirit.
