Synopsis

During his first tour of the States in 2004, Joe left a substantial number of Italian-Americans with sore stomachs and hoarse voices as they laughed at his hilarious stories about living the life of an Italian in an English-speaking country.

Dubbed the "Italian Seinfeld," Joe's comedy surrounds the day-to-day life of his Italian family and all the outrageous things they do such as how his Nonna (grandmother) attempts to negotiate a discount after sneaking into the '8 items or less' aisle of the supermarket with a cart full of groceries, or when his Nonno (grandfather) thinks the world is over when the doctor orders him to stop drinking his beloved red wine! Coupled with his spot-on delivery and down-to-earth Aussie charm, its relatable stories like these that make Joe Avati a hit wherever he goes.
