Comedy Cares for the Homeless is a singular night of entertainment benefitting Care for the Homeless, a New York City non-profit organization, and its new women's facility, Susan's Place.
The lineup for Comedy Cares includes Louis CK, Paula Poundstone, Patrice O'Neal, Caroline Rhea, The Wood Brothers and others. The star of his own HBO series, Lucky Louie, Louis CK is best known as a writer for Chris Rock. Paula Poundstone, panelist on NPR's Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me, is an award-winning comedienne with her own Bravo comedy special on the way and a book, There's Nothing In This Book That I Meant To Say, hitting shelves in November. Patrice O'Neal hosts VH1's Web Junk 20 and is starring in his own HBO special later this year. The much-loved Caroline Rhea has done extensive film and television work. She currently hosts NBC's hit show The Biggest Loser. Paul Mooney is a Chappelle's Show regular and long time standup and comedy writer. The Wood Brothers consist of Oliver Wood and his brother Chris, better known as the bassist for renowned jazz group Medeski, Martin & Wood. Comedy Cares For The Homeless also includes other very special guests.
Comedy Cares for the Homeless is presented in association with the New York Comedy Festival.
