Synopsis

Brooklyn Arts Exchange (BAX) nurtures artists of all ages, and once a year, the talented staff and faculty of BAX take the stage for a full evening of performance for all ages. Artists who work at BAX reveal their original work! Featured artists are Chris Goldstein, Colleen Hooper, Nicki Marshall & Helen Tocci, Rebekah Mindel, Tara O'Con, Becky Pearl performing choreography by Barbara Mahler, Amy Beth Schneider and Elaine Wang. Performance highlights include:

Chris Goldstein and Friends presenting CellPhones Live, a comedy performance about people's comfort with technology.

Colleen Hooper presents an excerpt of the dance theater piece An Outer Space Project with music composed by The Metric Mile.

The Attraction Suite by Nicki Marshall & Helen Tocci, a dance piece with a live vocal score featuring two couples struggling for power.

Rebekah Mindel's dance piece Revery explores images of migration on the open prairie.

Tara O'Con performs a slightly off-beat and somewhat reckless solo set to the Lucinda Williams' song "Jackson."

Becky Pearl performs Prologue, a solo choreographed by Barbara Mahler.

Din, choreographed and performed by Amy Beth Schneider, depicts an internal space of unrest and question while exploring the cyclical coping that accompanies unrest.

You Quietly is a duet choreographed by Elaine Wang that creates vivid flashbacks to childhood memories resulting in a complex, multilayered experience.

Due to its length and content, this program is recommended for ages 8 and above.
