My Lord, What a Morning tells the story of Philadelphia-born singer Marian Anderson, whose incredible spirit and voice broke down many racial boundaries. The play recounts her beginnings in the South Philadelphia Union Baptist Church choir, her Carnegie Hall debut, and her triumphant concert at the Lincoln Memorial. Featuring many recordings of the legendary singer, this is an inspiring story of the triumph of the human spirit against seemingly impossible odds.
