Lady centaurs journey through a supernova-threatened galaxy; three women "dance without quitting" and a group of friends find a photo album on a city dumpster - all during the first week of performance in The 2007 Annual Women's Performance Festival. In the second weekend, Terry Dame's Electric Junkyard Gamelan performs funky bass lines, modal melodies and interlocking rhythms on instruments fashioned from found objects. This annual favorite of the BAX season is always surprising, often uplifting.
