Synopsis
It's November, 1945. WWII is over "over there," but over here not all of the boys have come home. After three years of dedicated service to his country, Dell was honorably discharged and headed back home to Boston - but he never arrived. A year later he remains missing, and neither his sister, Imogen, nor Sylvia, the young bride he left behind, has been able to find him. For four years, the women have waited and fretted and fought in the boarding house that Imogen manages with
Sylvia's less-than-appreciated help. Every day of
those four years they have wondered: is Dell still
alive? When will he come home? How do I live my life without him?
