Synopsis


Brooklyn Center is thrilled to host the inaugural performance of the first U.S. tour of the acclaimed Iceland Dance Company. Founded in 1973 and made up of twelve dancers, Iceland Dance focuses on an exclusively modern repertoire, commissioning and nurturing Icelandic choreographers as well as those from Scandinavia and throughout Europe. With international credits including the Holland Dance Festival, the Gothenberg Theatre and Dance Festival in Sweden, the Basel Theater Festival in Switzerland, and Harbourfront in Toronto, Iceland Dance Company brings its provocative and unpredictable style to the United States for the first time ever. The performance is followed by a Q&A with Iceland Dance's Artistic Director, Katrín Hall.
