Synopsis

Andrea Burns celebrates the release of her debut solo album A Deeper Shade of Red. The album marries two of her great musical inspirations: Broadway show tunes and the female singer/songwriters of the 1970s. Weaving the evening together with hilarious stories from her childhood, Andréa shares tales of being raised in a Latin-Jewish household, the humiliations of motherhood, and other growing pains.

Andrea is a Drama Desk winner for her performance in the Broadway-bound production of In The Heights. She has appeared on Broadway as Belle in Disney's Beauty and the Beast as well as Vicki Nichols in The Full Monty. She originated the role of Celeste in Stephen Sondheim's Saturday Night at Second Stage, and was in the original production of Jason Robert Brown's Songs for A New World. Andrea shared the staged at Carnegie Hall with Elaine Stritch in the anniversary concert of Noel Coward's Sail Away, and was directed by Harold Prince in the role of Lucille Frank for the national tour of Parade for which she garnered a National Broadway Award nomination.
