Synopsis:
From what fevered imaginations did the characters of Heathcliff, Rochester and Arthur Huntington emerge? How is it possible that three Victorian spinsters, living in isolation on the Yorkshire moors, could have written some of the most powerful and passionate fiction of all time? In this extraordinary new play by Polly Teale, the real and imagined worlds of the Brontes and their doomed brother Branwell are vividly evoked. The fictional characters created by the sisters come to life and haunt their creators. Bronte is the third and last play in the trilogy premiered by WSTC and follows their critically acclaimed productions of After Mrs. Rochester and Jane Eyre.
