Both Mims and Schneider create modern dance works that mine the architecture and psyche of relationship, connection, community, and identity. Amy Beth Schneider's (Thread Dance Theater) pieces explore support, the development of community, and the meaning of autonomy while Mims' addresses a darker emotional realm of the feminine experience-- plumbing the meanings and motives that drive our choices in relationships.
