Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is based on the timeless novel by Ian Fleming, author/creator of James Bond. The production features the music and lyrics by the legendary Sherman brothers, composers of
Mary Poppins. The national tour boasts an entirely new creative team, original script and fresh adaptation directed by Ray Roderick.
This stage adaptation features a beloved score, including memorable classics such as "Truly Scrumptious," "Toot Sweets," "Hushabye Mountain" and the Oscarâ-nominated title song, "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang."
The musical will officially launch its first North American tour at the Broward Center in Ft. Lauderdale on November 18th, 2008. It will continue to dazzle cities across the U.S. including Tampa, Appleton, Baltimore, Dayton, San Antonio, Houston, Pittsburgh, Providence, Philadelphia, Orlando, Atlanta, Indianapolis, Louisville, Albuquerque, Salt Lake City, Tempe and Costa Mesa.
