Synopsis

When best-selling novelist Paul Sheldon crashes his car on a snowy Colorado road, he is "saved" by, Annie Wilkes, a former nurse and unstable recluse who also happens to be his "number one fan". Drugged and at the mercy of Annie's "care", Paul soon learns what happens when he fails to please his public. Misery by Stephen King, is both a best-selling novel and major motion picture. Misery was adapted for the stage by Simon Moore.

"...just as the suspense becomes intolerable there is brilliantly delivered joke before the coup de grace. To make audience gasp and laugh at same instant is quite an achievement...this is a compellingly cruel thriller. Daily Telegraph

"... this is a theatrical shock-horror comedie noire..." Daily Mail

It makes seats optional. The audience will spend the evening on the edge of theirs." Daily Express

Review: MISERY by kikitwme

This theatre experience was painful. The two cast members were previously in a show called DEAD CERTAIN and they kind of played the same characters except the wheelchair roles were reversed. This might have been the first night it played and there are, to say the least MANY kinks to work out technically. Hopefully it will get better, but it didnt hold any thrill or suspense for me - if you go, get an aisle seat just in case. The whole behind me got up and left.
