Peer Gynt
Peer Gynt Tickets and Information
Synopsis
Trolls, milk maids, and even the Sphinx populate Ibsen's fantastical tale about Norwegian ne'r-do-well and world traveler Peer Gynt. Now six-time Grammy winner Vladimir Ashkenazy conducts the National Symphony Orchestra in Edvard Grieg's incidental music to the play featuring acclaimed vocal soloists.
The lush score features such well-known selections as "In the Hall of the Mountain King" and "Morning Mood." The performances will be narrated by John De Lancie, who you may recognize as "Q" from Star Trek. The cast also includes baritone Sergei Leiferkus as Peer Gynt, Twyla Robinson as Solveig, and the Master Chorale of Washington.
