Synopsis

"Chris Smither taps his foot to keep the rhythm, much like the late blues legend John Lee Hooker. His finger-picked guitar lines are sleek, unhurried and insistent. And then there's the voice - equal parts gravel and molasses, Smither's singing sounds like a distillation of the folk and blues heroes he grew up listening to in New Orleans" - National Public Radio

"Smither is an American original, a product of the musical melting pot, and one of the absolute best singer-songwriters in the world" - AP

Eric Clapton says "[Sonny Landreth] is probably the most underestimated musician on the planet and also probably one of the most advanced."

Within the last year, Landreth performed at Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival in Dallas, the Festival International de Jazz de Montreal, and the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. He recently performed with Jimmy Buffett at Fenway Park and appears on Buffett's first number one album, License to Chill. Landreth also received a long overdue nod with a Grammy Award nomination for Best Contemporary Blues Recording for his seventh album, The Road We're On, released on Sugar Hill Records.
