Synopsis:
The Beauty Queen of Leenane, by Martin McDonagh, is a darkly comic, startling Irish tale of plain, lonely Maureen Folan who is trapped into looking after her elderly mother. Salvation comes in sight when a letter arrives from an old beau in America. The letter precipitates events at once horrifically violent and searingly funny.
