Synopsis:
Accomplished singer/performer Steven Maglio and the acclaimed eleven-piece Stan Rubin Orchestra present a new show entitled Sinatra: Remembering The Sands featuring many of the songs that Frank Sinatra performed at the famous Las Vegas Hotel.

Frank Sinatra, Count Basie, and The Sands Hotel are all gone, but the excitement of that blend of musical performance will come to life every Saturday evening at The Carnegie Club, just as if it were Las Vegas in 1960's all over again.

The Sands Hotel first presented Frank Sinatra for a week-long engagement in 1953 and three months later, he bought a share in the hotel and casino. The hotel's most famous claim to fame was a 3-week period in 1960, during the Las Vegas filming of the movie Ocean's Eleven. The management organized an event in the Copa Room called the "Summit at the Sands", where for the first time, the stars of the film: Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis, Jr., Joey Bishop, and Peter Lawford performed on stage together. They would forever be known as the "Rat Pack." Sinatra continued to perform at the hotel through 1967.

Though not an impersonator, Steven Maglio is especially appreciated for his renditions of songs made popular by Frank Sinatra. Each show highlights different songs from "Old Blue Eyes'" legendary career. In Sinatra: Remembering The Sands, Maglio and the 11-piece big band orchestra will showcase such classics as "Luck Be A Lady," "I've Got You Under My Skin" and "The Way You Look Tonight" followed by the later encore show which includes the favorites "Night and Day," "Fly Me To The Moon" and "New York, New York." Considered by many to be the country's premiere Sinatra tributeer, The Daily News wrote, "if Sinatra saw the show, Steven Maglio would be the one he'd choose to sing his songs."

Due to special provisions in New York law, the smoking of cigars and cigarettes is legally permitted in The Carnegie Club.
