Synopsis:
Questions of faith and its place in our lives permeate The Chosen, the play adapted by Aaron Posner and Chaim Potok from Potok's now classic novel. And while faith is also divisive in this tale of growing up in different religious traditions in Brooklyn during the 1940s, the bond between friends or between fathers and sons can bridge even that chasm. This story of two fathers and their two teen-age sons unfolds amid a bustling Jewish neighborhood in 1944 Brooklyn. One Hasidic and the other Orthodox, the boys serve as catalysts, and guides, for one another's transition to manhood....
