Synopsis:
Performance poet Kenny Carnes presents an evening of poetic story telling to honor, recognize and assist today's returning war veterans and their families. When We Come Home is the summation of war narratives collected from Carnes' extensive national tour of Pieces of War. This rapid fire journey of rhyme and rhythm weaves a portfolio of stories from three generations of American war fighters. A son returns home from Iraq as his grandfather recalls victories at Normandy while a father becomes lost in his voiceless shame trying to forget Vietnam. Three soldiers battle for...
