Synopsis:
In lie, lay, laid audiences are given the opportunity to observe intimate physical acts at a distance by sitting above a sunken stage and looking down upon a grid, stacks of mattresses and four dancers. In this world premiere, dancers arrange and rearrange themselves upon twin mattresses, framing the relationship of bodies while complicating efforts to smoothly negotiate choreography.
