On March 17, 1999 the theater, opened their new home at 1412 Chestnut Street, just a few steps from the Avenue of the Arts. Named after long-time board member and legendary director Harold Prince, The Prince Music Theater is the only new theater anywhere dedicated to the future of the great American art form of musical theater.
