The Shawshank Redemption, the stage adaptation of Stephen King's novel of the same name, has posted an early closing notice at the West End Wyndham's Theatre. Originally booking through February 14, the show will now close on November 29.
Kevin Anderson and Reg E Cathey lead the 20-strong cast as Andy Dufresne and Ellis Boyd "Red" Redding, two prison inmates who develop a life-long friendship after the former, a banker, is wrongly incarcerated for the murder of his wife. The cast also features Geoffrey Hutchings, Mitchell Mullen, Joe Hanley, Diarmuid Noyes, Shane Attwooll, and Geff Francis. The production is directed by Peter Sheridan and designed by Ferdia Murphy.
